With the rapid progress and advancement of science, technology, economy, and information society, the environment surrounding human beings has remarkably changed. In modern society, our life has been abundant with materials, but we are facing such problems as environmental issues, the arrival of an aging society and the deterioration of children's minds. So we are required to cope with and solve these problems.
In the Dept. of Science for Living Environment, students will learn methods and techniques to deal with various kinds of information concerning our environment sensitively and scientifically.

In the Dept. of Health Science, students will study the mechanisms to maintain health, and health management from the aspects of biological science, nutrition, food science and sport science.

In the Dept. of Human Development and Welfare, students will study human welfare from the aspects of pedagogy, psychology, health education and social welfare. In the second year, students will choose one of two courses: the Human Development Studies or Social Work.

Emphasis on Information Processing Education

"Outline of Information Processing", "Practice of Information Processing " and "Applied Information Processing " are compulsory. Students will study systematically and comprehensively from basics to application. The students in the Dept. of Science for Living Environment and in the Dept. of Health Science will be able to concentrate on learning information processing further.
Students will have self-access to the latest information processing tools.

Cultivation of Ability to Read English Books in One's Major Field

Students' ability to read English books in their major fields will be cultivated in small classes.
